Dolly Rebecca Parton (born January 19, 1946) is an American, Grammy Award-winning country music singer/songwriter, composer, author, actress and philanthropist. In 2006, Parton was a Kennedy Center honoree for her lifetime contribution to American culture and the performing arts.
