Hans Christian Andersen [ˈhanˀs ˈkʰʁæʂd̥jan ˈɑnɐsn̩] or simply H.C. Andersen [hɔse ˈɑnɐsn̩], (April 2, 1805 - August 4, 1875) was a Danish author and poet, most famous for his fairy tales.
