Anne Grant (née M'vicar) (February 21, 1755 - November 7, 1838), was a Scottish poet and author. She was born in Glasgow, and in 1779 married the Rev. James Grant, minister of Laggan, Invernessshire. She published in 1802 a volume of poems. She also wrote Letters from the Mountains , and Essays on the Superstitions of the Highlands . After 1810 she lived in Edinburgh, where she was the friend of Sir Walter Scott and other eminent men, through whose influence she received a pension of £100.
